Ai Sayama
Ai Sayama: returning to singing as L.V
Her account of the practical changes between television variety work and a dance-and-vocal group.
An earlier ensemble
In a June 2023 Seattle Star interview, L.V discussed her previous work in Ebisu Muscats. She described it as an idol group connected to television variety programmes, with comedy and an upbeat atmosphere.
Returning to the recording room
L.V said that after Ebisu Muscats ended, she had stopped singing publicly and recording. She felt nervous when recording Super Duper and hungry spider for Black Diamond, but said the sessions went smoothly.
Working on her voice
She described Black Diamond as a dance-and-vocal group in which singing and performance carried greater weight. At the time of the interview she was continuing vocal training, with the aim of improving her singing and stage skills.
